Guides

Guides are the female version of Boy Scouts set up by the wife of Robert Baden-Powell. The younger version are called Brownie Guides or just Brownies. In America there were girl scouts not Brownies or Brownie Guides (hence there are Girl Scout Cookies - though of course boys can make cookies/biscuits as well). As girls are now allowed to join the Scouts in Britain, Guides are dying out.

In Canada, the Guides are divided into multiple programmes depending on age: Sparks, Brownies, Guides, Pathfinders.
