Garage

Redirected from Garage music

A garage is a building for the storage of vehicles.

Garage is a term used to describe several different varieties of modern dance music. Usage is different in the US and UK.

The term was first used in the US to describe a form of house music. The name comes from the "Paradise Garage[?]" club in New York.

The evolution of house music in the UK in the 1990s led to the term being applied to a new frorm of music also known as UK garage[?]. This is now frequently grouped with forms like hip hop, rap and R&B under the description urban music.

None of these forms of music is in any way related to garage rock.
