Fume Blanc

Fume Blanc is California's version of an oaked Sauvignon Blanc. This style was first called Fume Blanc by the Robert Mondavi Winery[?], after Pouilly-Fumé[?], a Sauvignon Blanc-based wine from France's Loire Valley. The most noted example is Mondavi's To-Kalon Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc.
