Fritz

Fritz is a German chess-playing computer program developed by Frans Morsch[?] and Mathias Feist[?].

In 2002 a version of Fritz specifically designed for multi-processor machines, Deep Fritz, drew a match against Vladimir Kramnik 4 - 4.


"Fritz the Cat[?]" refers to a cartoon character invented by Robert Crumb, as well as a Ralph Bakshi movie based on the same.
