Friedrichshafen

Friedrichshafen is a town on the north side of Lake Constance in southern Germany. It is capital of the Bodenseekreis in Baden-Württemberg. Geographical location 47° 39' North, 9° 30' East; population 199,286 (2000).

The Zeppelin air-ship company was based here and there is a Zeppelin museum in the town beside the lake. Count Ferdinand von Zeppelin was born in a nearby town.

The town is growing due to an expanding local airport which has a daily international flight by RyanAir[?] to London Stansted Airport.

There are ferry services between Friedrichshafen and other towns around the lake.
