Franz Danzi

Franz Ignaz Danzi (June 15, 1763 - April 13, 1826) was a German composer and conductor, the son of a noted Italian cellist. Born in Schwetzingen[?], he worked in Mannheim, Munich, Stuttgart and Karlsruhe, where he died. He wrote more than sixty works in the musical period leading up to the Romantic era. He was a contemporary of Mozart, Beethoven, and Weber.
