The racial makeup of the town is 62.75% White, 20.01% African American, 1.67% Native American, 2.14% Asian, 0.75% Pacific Islander, 7.94% from other races, and 4.75% from two or more races. 15.39% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 1,679 households out of which 84.9% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 85.4% are married couples living together, 9.7% have a female householder with no husband present, and 3.5% are non-families. 3.2% of all households are made up of individuals and 0.0% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older.
