Eric Sykes

Eric Sykes (May 4, 1923 - ) Oldham, Lancashire, is a British comedic writer and actor, who helped Spike Milligan with The Goon Show after Milligan's depression. He wrote and starred in a long-running BBC television series with Hattie Jacques and Deryck Guyler called Sykes[?]. One of the running jokes of the series was that the extremely large Hattie and the very skinny Eric were supposed to be twins.

He has appeared recently as Mollocks on Gormenghast.

Sykes became profoundly deaf as an adult. His "trademark" spectacles contain no lenses, but are rather a bone-conducting hearing aid[?].
