Enchanter

Enchanter is an interactive fiction game written by Marc Blank[?] and Dave Lebling[?] and published by Infocom in 1983. It belongs to the fantasy genre and was the first fantasy game published by Infocom after the Zork trilogy (it was originally intended to be Zork IV). The game had a vocabulary of over 700 words making it the most advance interactive fiction game of its time.

The player takes on the role of an Apprentice Enchanter who is sent forth from the Circle of Enchanters to destroy the Evil Warlock in the hope that being but a beginner at magic he will pass undetected by the warlock.

Enchanter was the first game of the "Enchanter Trilogy" with the others being Sorcerer and Spellbreaker[?].
