Elizabeth Hartman

Elizabeth Hartman (December 23, 1943 - June 10, 1987) was an American actress. Born in Youngstown, Ohio, she debuted in the 1965 film A Touch of Blue[?], a role which garnered here a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Actress.

She went on to star in three well-received film, The Group[?], You're a Big Boy Now[?] and The Beguiled[?], but continuing depression interfered with her career. In 1987, she jumped from a fifth floor window in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, after calling her psychiatrist to tell him that she was feeling despondent.
