Electroclash

Electroclash is a contemporary music genre that fuses new wave, punk, & electronic dance music. The movement combines this sound with visuals from post-1970s Westwood & Warhol fashion and art scenes.

The name derives from the Electropop bands who provide the majority of the musical influence. Lyrics are generally punk inspired, often angry and more given to emotion than technique.
