Elba

Elba is an island in Tuscany, Italy, near the coast of Grosseto. It is the biggest island of the Tuscan Archipelago[?], and the third-biggest of Italy. Elba Island and other islands of the Tuscan Archipelago (Pianosa, Capraia[?], Montecristo[?], Giglio[?] and Giannutri) are protected in the National Park of the Tuscan Archipelago.

The island is divided in 8 communes: the capital Portoferraio[?], Campo nell'Elba[?], Capoliveri[?], Marciana[?], Marciana Marina, Porto Azzurro[?], Rio Marina[?] and Rio nell'Elba[?].

French emperor Napoleon Bonaparte was restricted to Elba when overthrown (the first time).

More recently, the island is famous for wine.

Recently the place in which apneist Jacques Mayol committed suicide.
