Efik mythology

The Efik[?] are a people located in Nigeria and Cameroon.

Abassi[?] is the creator god. His wife was Atai[?], who convinced him to allow two humans to settle on Earth, but to forbid them to reproduce or work so that they would not exceed Abassi in wisdom. Eventually, they broke this rule and Atai killed them both, as well as cause strife and war between their children.
