Edinburgh International Airport

Edinburgh International Airport located in Scotland, is one of the two large airports that operate in that country, and among the 10 largest airports in Great Britain overall.

The airport is a mini center for European flights and flights within the Kingdom. However, it does not serve as a hub for any airline, as in the past, many efforts have failed to create a Scottish international airline and there are currently no plans to create another one. However, Edinburgh was in the past a hub for some of the failed Scottish air companies.

No major tragedies involving a flight to or from Edinburgh have taken place, although Scotland is known in the aviation world as the place of the bombing of Pan Am 103 in 1988.

Edinburgh International Airport is located in central Scotland, area where the city of Edinburgh is at.
