Echt

Echt (population: 19,223) is a town in the southeastern Netherlands, in the province of Limburg. The municipality covers an area of 75.13 km² (of which 0.46 km² water).

The former municipality of Echt also includes the following towns, villages and townships: Aasterberg[?], Berkelaar[?], Echterbosch[?], Gebroek[?], Hingen[?], Koningsbosch[?], Maria-hoop[?], Ophoven[?], Peij[?], Schilberg[?], Sint Joost[?], Slek[?], and has merged with Susteren to form Echt-Susteren.
