Eadgyth or Edith was the daughter of Edward the Elder, King of England, born 869, and AElflaeda.
Edith's grandfather was Alfred the Great, King of the West Saxons[?] (or King of Wessex).
In 929, Edith and the future Otto I the Great of the Holy Roman Empire were married.
