Dodo Knyphausen

Baron Dodo Knyphausen, zu Innhausen und Knyphausen, (1583 - 1636) born in Ostfriesland, was a German soldier who entered into Swedish service in 1629 and was appointed Field Marshal in 1633. In the Thirty Years' War (1618-1648), he commanded troops at the Battle of Lützen, in 1632, the Battle of Oldendorf[?], in 1633 and the Battle of Haselünne[?], in 1636, where he fell.
