Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy

The Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy are a San Francisco-based alternative hip hop group. They formed in 1990 (see 1990 in music) out of the avant-garde jazz collective The Beatnigs[?]. The Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy quickly became known for politically charged lyrics decrying racism and homophobia, among other issues.

The Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy's debut LP was 1992's Hypocrisy Is the Greatest Luxury[?] (see 1992 in music), which earned the group critical acclaim, though some believed that the group was trying to appeal to whites by attacking black themes of violence in hip hop. The group broke up soon after.
