  • Montreal Maroons (1924-38)
  • New York Americans (1925-41)/Brooklyn Americans (1941-42)
  • Oakland Seals (1967-76), also known as California Seals and Golden Seals/ Cleveland Barons (1976-78) merged with Minnesota North Stars (1978)
  • Ottawa Senators (1917-31 and 1932-34)/ St. Louis Eagles (1934-35)
  • Pittsburgh Pirates (1925-30)/Philadelphia Quakers (1930-31)
  • Quebec Bulldogs (1919-20)/Hamilton Tigers (1920-25)
