David Holzman's Diary

David Holzman's Diary is a 1968 film which spoofs the art of documentary-making. It tells the story of a young man making a documentary of his life, who discovers something important about himself while making the movie. It stars L.M. Kit Carson[?], Eileen Dietz[?], Lorenzo Mans[?] and Louise Levine[?]. It was directed by Jim McBride[?]. Due to the continuing conceit that the movie is a documentary, no writing credits are provided.

This was McBride's first work. He has since gone on to much success, particularly in television.

The film has been selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry.
