Dale Chihuly

Dale Chihuly is a modern day glass sculptor. He is based in Seattle, Washington and was trained in the methods of classic Italian glassblowing[?].

Due to a motorcycle accident which stole the vision in one of his eyes, Chihuly no longer creates the glass pieces himself. Instead, he employs a team of artists to do the handiwork. Chihuly does, however, conceptualize each project with paint and canvas.
