Dakuwanga

In Polynesian mythology (specifically: Fiji), Dakuwanga is a shark-god. He was hated by fishermen because sharks sometimes ate their catch. An octopus acted Dakuwanga, and won the battle, forcing Dakuwanga to promise to never attack the island of Kandavu[?] again.
