Cubic centimetre

Redirected from Cubic centimeter

A cubic centimetre (cm³) is an SI unit of volume, equal to the volume of a cube with side length of 1 centimetre. This is equal to one thousandth of a litre, or 1 millilitre (mL).

The abbreviation cc, although not part of SI, is common in many contexts in English, particularly in medicine and for denoting the size of internal combustion engines in automobiles and motorcycles (e.g. "300 cc of crystalloid is required to compensate for each 100 cc of blood loss", "the Mini Cooper had a 1275cc engine", "the 750cc Superbike race").
