Corozal District

The Corozal District is the northern most district of the nation of Belize, with the district capital located in Corozal Town. Also in Corozal District are the towns of Chunox, Consejo[?], Little Belize, Louisville, Patchacan, Progresso, and Xaibe, as well as the Pre-Columbian Maya ruins of Santa Rita[?] and Ceros[?]. According to the 2000 census, Corozal District had a population of 33,335 people.
