Content management

Content management or just CM is a name for the activity or system that provides intellectual content to some form of media.

Content management could be:

a web content management system in software for web site management - which is often what is implicitly meant by this term
The Wikipedia editing policy
the work of a newspaper editorial staff organization
a workflow for article[?] publication
a document management system
