Conservation Ecology

The term 'Conservation ecology' covers a very wide range of subjects, basically, any part of ecology that has a bearing on conservation. The terms 'Ecology' and 'Conservation' are frequently used interchangeably, but, although ecologists are frequently also conservationists, this does not neccesarilly have to be the case.

Much of Conservation Biology deals with the problems associated with the small population sizes of rare species[?].
