Coming Home

Coming Home is a 1978 film which tells the story of a handicapped Vietnam War veteran's difficulty in re-entering civilian life after his return from the war. It stars Jane Fonda, Jon Voight, Bruce Dern[?], Penelope Milford[?], Robert Carradine[?] and Robert Ginty[?].

The movie was written by Nancy Dowd[?], Robert C. Jones[?], Waldo Salt[?] and Rudy Wurlitzer[?] (uncredited). It was directed by Hal Ashby[?].

It won Academy Awards for Best Actor in a Leading Role (Jon Voight), Best Actress in a Leading Role (Jane Fonda) and Best Writing, Screenplay Written Directly for the Screen. It was nominated for Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Bruce Dern), Best Actress in a Supporting Role (Penelope Milford), Best Director, Best Film Editing and Best Picture.
