Cobham, Surrey

Cobham is a small town in Surrey, about 20 miles south-west of London, on the banks of the River Mole.

Pains Hill Park is a landscaped garden on the outskirts of the town.

The bridge over the River Mole on the road south from Cobham to Downside and Effingham was washed away in floods in September 1968.

Cobham is known for the movement called the Diggers. Other nearby areas include Chatley Heath[?], which has one of the last remaining semaphore towers[?].
