Clodia

"Lesbia", the subject of many of the Roman poet Catullus's works was probably Clodia, a society hostess whom he had an affair with.

Clodia was the sister of the politician Publius Clodius Pulcher. This partly explains the unflattering portrait of her in Cicero's Pro Caelio[?].
