Clifton Heights is a borough located in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. As of the 2000 census, the borough had a total population of 6,779.

Geography Clifton Heights is located at 39°55'45" North, 75°17'45" West (39.929062, -75.295760)1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 1.6 km² (0.6 mi²). 1.6 km² (0.6 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 6,779 people, 2,714 households, and 1,696 families residing in the borough. The population density is 4,221.6/km² (10,882.5/mi²). There are 2,883 housing units at an average density of 1,795.4/km² (4,628.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the borough is 94.22% White, 2.92% African American, 0.06% Native American, 1.50% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.38% from other races, and 0.91% from two or more races. 0.99% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 2,714 households out of which 31.1% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 42.9% are married couples living together, 14.3% have a female householder with no husband present, and 37.5% are non-families. 31.9% of all households are made up of individuals and 12.8% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.49 and the average family size is 3.20.

In the borough the population is spread out with 25.8% under the age of 18, 7.9% from 18 to 24, 32.9% from 25 to 44, 18.6% from 45 to 64, and 14.9% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 36 years. For every 100 females there are 95.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 90.8 males.

The median income for a household in the borough is $39,291, and the median income for a family is $48,919. Males have a median income of $36,534 versus $32,210 for females. The per capita income for the borough is $20,534. 11.1% of the population and 11.2% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total people living in poverty, 18.1% are under the age of 18 and 6.4% are 65 or older.
