Was in power until 1999.Led by Stefaan De Clerck [?] Despite talking up its chances, it came third in the 2003 elections, coming behind the VLD and the SPa-S. It's predominantly rural support was eaten into by the neo-nazi vlaams blok[?]. Will lead the opposition to Verhofstadt[?].
