Chiricahua

The Chiricahuas were a group of Apache Native Americans that lived in the southwest of the United States. Led by Geronimo they were among the last to resist American control of the southwest. They finally surrendered and were exiled.

Their last stronghold was the Chiricahua mountains[?], in southeastern Arizona, part of which is now inside Chiricahua National Monument[?].
