Cheddite

Cheddite is an explosive compound used as a primer for shotgun cartridges. It contains 90% potassium chlorate[?], 7% paraffin, 3% petroleum jelly[?], and traces of carbon black[?].

Cheddite was also a fictional substance described in a comic science-fiction novel by Harry Harrison. It was made by irradiating Cheddar cheese, and enabled faster-than-light travel.
