Cheaper By The Dozen

Cheaper by the Dozen, is a book by Frank Bunker Gilbreth, Jr. and Ernestine Gilbreth Carey that tells the story of Frank Bunker Gilbreth[?], Lillian Moller Gilbreth, and their twelve children. Frank had a knack of telling someone's nationality just by looking and would often ask "Do my Irishmen [Germans, autc.] come cheaper by the dozen?" Other humorous incidents include a neighbor campaigning for birth control, who was flabbergasted when all twelve children lined up on signal, and a motion study of tonsillectomy which produced no results because the photographer forgot to remove the lens cap.
