Charlotte Hendrix

Charlotte Hendrix, b. 1977, St. Paul, MN[?], is a former journalist and current member of the gay improv comedy group Far From Kansas. Hendrix began her career as a well known child performer in Alabama, where she was featured in productions like The Music Man, Fiddler on the Roof and South Pacific. After being requested, at the age of eight, to appear nude in a Public Television[?] show, she refused, and continued working as a performer only in non-professional venues.

After attending the University of Mississippi she graduated with a BA in journalism in 1999. Shortly thereafter she became the producer of "Today in Alabama[?]," an early morning television show on WSFA-TV[?] in Montgomery, Alabama. She also produced WSFA at Sunrise[?].

Hendrix moved to Washington, D.C. in 2002 and became a member of Far From Kansas; she is often referred to as the "token girl." She took on this prized status when former member Cassi Holder left the group.
