Charles Lynch

Charles Lynch (1783 - 1853) was a Democratic Mississippi politican. He was elected to the state senate and served in 1827 and 1832-1833. In July 1833, he suceeded Governor Abram L. Scott who had died in office and remained so until the election of Hiram Runnels[?] in November of that year. He was later elected in his own right and served a complete 2 year term as governor starting in January 1836.
