Cattaraugus Reservation, Chautauqua County, New York

Cattaraugus Reservation is an Indian reservation located in Chautauqua County, New York. As of the 2000 census, the Indian reservation had a total population of 23. Most of the reservation is in Erie County and Cattaraugus County.

Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the Indian reservation has a total area of 7.1 km² (2.8 mi²). 6.8 km² (2.6 mi²) of it is land and 0.4 km² (0.1 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 5.09% water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 23 people, 10 households, and 6 families residing in the Indian reservation. The population density is 3.4/km² (8.8/mi²). There are 12 housing units at an average density of 1.8/km² (4.6/mi²). The racial makeup of the Indian reservation is 26.09% White, 0.00% African American, 73.91% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.00% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 10 households out of which 40.0% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 40.0% are married couples living together, 0.0% have a female householder with no husband present, and 40.0% are non-families. 30.0% of all households are made up of individuals and 0.0% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.30 and the average family size is 2.83.
