Cameron Michelle Diaz was born on August 30, 1972, in San Diego, California. After persuing a modelling career, she was cast in the 1994 film The Mask. Her first appearance in the, fairly successful, but slightly silly The Mask, at first sight placed her as just another tall, very-very attractive, (natural) blonde with (natural) blue eyes - not the only one to be found in Hollywood.
However, she appeared in films that tried to appeal to more sophistaced audiences like Feeling Minnesota. She later enjoyed success in both romantic My Best Friend's Wedding (1997) and silly There's Something About Mary (1998) comedies. She took risks when accepted a role in Being John Malkovich (1999) and Oliver Stone took risks when he gave her a role in Any Given Sunday (1999). However, it was worth it in both cases, proving that there might be more to her than meets the eye.
She has topped the FHM[?] Sexiest Woman[?] poll, and continually places highly, and is the overall 'Sexiest Woman' by virtue of their points system...
