Buckingham Fountain

Buckingham Fountain is one of the largest in the world. Situated in Chicago's Grant Park, the fountain[?], which was designed by Jacques Lambert[?] and modeled after a fountain at Versailles, was donated to the city by Kate Buckingham in memory of her brother, Clarence Buckingham. Buckingham Fountain was dedicated on August 26, 1927. The fountain runs from Memorial Day to Labor Day from 11:30 to 21:00 with a light and water display from 21:00 to 22:00.

The fountain contains 1 1/2 million gallons of water. During a display, more than 14,000 gallons per minute is pushed through the 133 jets.
