Brian Kernighan

Brian Kernighan is a computer scientist, who worked at the Bell Labs and is best known for inventing C programming language with Dennis Ritchie.

He was instrumental in writing the first book about C and developing the Awk programming language. He authored many Unix programs, including ditroff.

He now holds a professorship in the department of computer science at Princeton University.
