Boilermaker

A boilermaker is a cocktail made by pouring a shot of whiskey into a glass of beer. Traditionally, the shot and the beer are served separately, and you mix the two yourself by dropping the shotglass and its whiskey into the beer.

A boilermaker is also the mascot of Purdue University, and a traditional name for a Purdue student or alumnus.
