Bodoni

Bodoni is a typeface designed by Giambattista Bodoni[?] (1740-1813). It is the oldest member of the family of Classicist serif typefaces; see serif for more on classification.

As such, thickness varies greatly within each glyph, making it an excellent decorative typeface due to its elegance. However, because of its inferior legibility, it is quite inapplicable to long text bodies. One common use has therefore been in headings; it is also heavily employed in advertising today. For example, Bodoni has been used in IBM's corporate design[?] for decades.
