Blackmore's Night

Blackmore's Night is a band led by Ritchie Blackmore (acoustic guitar) and Candice Night[?] (lyricist and lead-vocals). A change of pace from Blackmore's previous contributions to Rock and Roll, the group plays Renaissance-style music with some additional modern effects.

The group performs at Ren-faires[?] and Renaissance Festivals, as well as in stand-alone concert tours in appropriate venues including 'castle tours' of Europe, where they perform in historic surroundings for an audience dressed largely in period costume.

Their first CD Shadow of the Moon[?] was released in 1997 in Europe and a year later in North America. They followed it up with live concert tours and a second album Under A Violet Moon[?] in 1999. Their most recent album is Fires at Midnight[?] (2001).
