Black nationalism is a movement with the viewpoint that
Africans[?] at 'home and abroad' (such as
African Americans) share a common heritage and destiny, and often that all people of
African ancestry[?] belong to a single
nation.
Black nationalism originated with the growth of Nationalism in the 19th century, but only became a significant organized movement early in the 20th century.
