Big South Conference

The Big South Conference is a college athletic conference which operates in the southeastern United States. It participates in the NCAA's Division I-AA for football and Division I for all other sports. The Big South Conference is just starting in 2002 as a football conference. There are four football and nine non-football member schools.

There are ten partial or full-time member schools:

• Coastal Carolina University[?] (starts football in 2003)
• Elon College[?]
• Gardner-Webb University[?] (football-only member)
• High Point University[?] (no football program)
• Liberty University[?]
• University of North Carolina[?] (Asheville[?]) (no football program)
• Radford University (no football program)
• Winthrop University[?] (no football program)
