Bernd Behr

Bernd Behr (born 1976) is a London-based, German-born artist.

Behr was born in Hamburg, and went to the United States to study at the San Jose State University[?], California in 1995. From 1999 he read fine art at London's Goldsmiths College.

Several of his works explore architecture: Ectoplasmic, for example, features debris falling down the side of a block of flats, while Theatre du Vide is a video of Behr climbing onto a gate-post after approaching it from three different angles (it was shot at the same location as Yves Klein's photograph, Sant dans le Vide (Leap into the Void)).

Behr was shortlisted for the 2003 Beck's Futures prize.
