Before Night Falls

Before Night Falls is a 2000 biographical film which tells the life story of homosexual poet Reynaldo Arenas[?], who suffered from AIDS and eventually committed suicide. It stars Javier Bardem, Olivier Martinez[?], Andrea Di Stefano[?], Johnny Depp and Michael Wincott[?].

The movie was adapted by Cunningham O'Keefe[?], Lázaro Gómez Carriles[?] and Julian Schnabel[?] from the memoir by Arenas. It was directed by Schnabel.

It was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor (Javier Bardem).
