Batman (1989 movie)

A modern day Batman movie, it starred Michael Keaton as Batman, Kim Basinger as reporter Vicky Vale[?] and Jack Nicholson as the criminal The Joker.

The movie ushered a return to the "dark" roots of Batman, and away from the campy treatment by the 1960s Batman television series and cartoon Super Friends[?]. It was directed by Tim Burton.
