Baja California (state)

Baja California is the name of a state of Mexico located on the Baja California peninsula. The estimated population is 2,752,800 in 2003. The state has an area of 70,113 km2. The state capital is the city of Mexicali[?]. The state also contains the border city of Tijuana. ISO 3166-2 is MX-BCN.
