Audre Lorde

Audre Lorde(b. February 18, 1934 in Harlem) was a multi-faceted writer and activist. She was a black lesbian, mother, warrior poet.

She died of cancer in 1992. She is famous for her poetic works, for which she became State Poet of New York[?] from 1991-1993, including:
